PAID STAFFING POSITION WITH THE BADIN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT., INC.

Position: Part Time Staffing Personnel.

Starting Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

General Description:
Will provide general and specific work related to the operations associated with
Fire Services practices and BadinVFD Guidelines. Included but not limited to,
response to emergency and non emergency dispatches, Public Fire Safety Education,
General Recordkeeping, Department General Maintenance Program and other related
and non related functions as assigned. This position will be established to support
the day to day operations of a Volunteer Fire Department and its Personnel. This
position will operate under the direction of the Badin Fire Chief and others he/she
may designate. Normal work shifts will be established to coincide with day time hours
however may include occasional evening hours as well.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Will respond to incidents within the Badin Primary response district as well as
   other areas as designated and approved by the Fire Chief.
* Will drive and operate Badin Fire Department vehicles.
* Will assist in maintaining Badin Fire Department equipment.
* Will assist in Public Fire Safety Education Events.
* Will assist in areas of recordkeeping as may be assigned including filing of
   incident reports.
* Will assist in maintaining preplan information on areas within the district.
* Will assist in the testing and inspection of fire equipment, pumps and hydrants.
* Will perform other task and duties as assigned or designated by Badin Fire Chief
   or designee.

Requirements:
*Minimum Requirements:
* Current 1403 certification
* NC State Certification for Firefighter I and II or provide
   proof of active pursuit
* NC State Certification for EMT
* NC State Certification for Emergency Vehicle Driver
* NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
* Ability to operate under limited supervision
* Must hold at least a NC Class B Drivers License

*Additional Recommendation:
* Past or present affiliation with a recognized Emergency Services provider
* NIMS 300,400,
* General knowledge of computers
* Experience with the NFRS, to include actual entering of incident reports
* Airport Firefighter/Rescue Training
* Airport Familiarization Training
