Wayne has served the Town of Badin since October 1992.
The Badin Public Works Department is responsible for a variety of duties. From park maintenance to Christmas lights, the Public Works Department is busy year-round. Below are schedules for brush and leaf collection as well as the semi-annual cleanup.
Brush Collection
When: First Tuesday of every month
What: Limbs/brush no more than 6” in diameter and 10 feet in length.
No grass or pampas grass clippings.
No lumber with nails or metal attached.
No household garbage or appliances.
No contractor debris.
No limbs/brush from cleared lots will be picked up. This is the responsibility of the property owner.
Leaf Collection
All leaves must be on the curb by 8:00 AM of the scheduled collection day. No brush will be collected during leaf collection.
Leaf Collection Procedures:
The Town of Badin will have their last leaf pick-up for the season February 12, 2008 through February 21, 2008. A schedule is posted at Badin Town Hall, Badin Post Office, Isaih Westbrook Community Center and the Badin website www.badin.org, showing the location of each daily pick-up. Here are some helpful tips to ensure the successful collection of leaves:
- Leaves should be at curbside no later than 8:00 am of your collection day.
- Have vehicles removed from the street collection day.
- Please make sure that any piles set out for collection consist of leaves only. Do not place limbs or other items with leaves. They will not be picked up!
- Place leaves out for collection no sooner than necessary prior to your day of collection. The longer leaves remain out along the roadside, the more likely they are to wash into storm drains and cause flooding problems or become blown throughout the neighborhood.
Please telephone Badin Town Hall with questions.
